On 30 July 2026, the inaugural KZN Investment Forum brought together representatives from government, pension funds, financial institutions, asset managers, project sponsors and business leaders at the Radisson Blu Durban, cumulatively accounting representing over R500 billion worth of pension capital. The focus: unlocking institutional and pension fund capital to accelerate economic growth, job creation and development across KwaZulu-Natal.
Some of the leading pension funds which participated in the Forum include the R260 billion Eskom Pension Fund, the R32 billion KZN Municipal Pension Fund, the R60 billion Telkom Retirement Fund, amongst others.
The KZN Investment Forum 2026 marked a significant step forward. It aligned pension capital, government and the private sector around one shared goal: building an investment ready KwaZulu-Natal.
